There are many ideas regarding how the system will change as opposed to what the future of AdSense will look like and what it is now.
Another thing that is bound to happen is greater security for AdWords advertisers related to click fraud. Google considers this a very important issue that needs to be addressed as soon as possible and there is no doubt that this will happen as quickly as possible. At the moment those who have a high level of traffic can easily disburse the IP address and increase the CTR (click through rate).
Google is always keen to improve its products and this has been seen before in AdSense. The search engine company has introduced site-targeted AdSense CPM, "smart pricing", and domain blocking, and will likely make improvements that have already been added by other similar sites.
One such example is the option for the advertiser to have more control over the content where the content is being displayed. This may mean preventing your site from appearing on multiple addresses hosting AdSense banners.
Another idea that has been advanced is that Google will integrate AdSense into other forms of media such as newspapers or television, etc. Although it may seem more about the facts of science-fiction, there is no indication that it cannot happen.
Google has access to an international array of more than 150,000 advertisers, among whom may choose to enter offline markets in various countries. With Google's strong network of advertisers, they can choose to appoint or allow offline distributors to create a format for Adwords advertising in content, in search and now offline.
More options can be implemented for AdSense publishers, allowing them to specify their own keywords. While Google is reluctant that this will not happen in the future.
Also, many people are demanding a clear specification of AdSense's pricing policy. Google has not given any indication as to why this is not public information, but at this time it is highly unlikely that such information will ever exist for Google AdSense.
Another feature that can be found in AdSense itself is that it will allow website publishers to see which links are generating clicks to their website and are based on the keywords they reach there.
This can be a major issue that can endanger the entire system as it can probably encourage more adsense only websites, as the profits become more transparent. Many people can create Adsense-only sites designed to make a profit through Adsense only.
While this is already happening today, it may be unwise to put such Google in the hands of its publishers.
However, one thing that can happen is for the users to fix their issues with less Adsense generated income on their site. This can be done through an on-line wizard or something similar that will give website owners suggestions based on their content.
But the major buzz of the day is RSS. The possibility of sending targeted advertisements directly to users without requiring any navigation on their behalf is becoming a reality with RSS. And there are clear signs that Google is not going to pass up such an opportunity.
